Velvet jackets are a fashion classic, but this glorious piece by Dutch designer, Koos Van Den Akker, is totally on another level! I honestly would have kept it for myself if it had been in my size!
No fabric labels on this, but made from a high quality black crushed velvet that's quilted vertically, and with a gold coloured metallic lame which swoops and curls around the jacket's outer edges and cuffs. It might look a bit silvery in the pics, but it's more like an old gold colour, so it's not garishly blingy. Edges are finished with a black and brick red trims.
Fastens at the front with goldtone metal buttons.
No pockets, but fully lined.
Labelled a size 10, this easily fits up to a UK size 12 (Bust=36 inches (92 cm) Waist=29 inches (72 cm) Hips=38 inches (97 cm).

Bust= 40 inches (102 cm)
Waist= 40 inches (102 cm)
Hips= 40 inches (102 cm)
Length shoulder to hem= 24 inches (61 cm)
In excellent vintage condition, no flaws. The red trim is a little fuzzy.
